The Hoima District Environment Committee officials have confiscated distillation equipment that was used in purifying alcohol into potent gin in a wetland. The distillation equipment was impounded in an operation to curb the illegal use of wetlands in Bulindi town council where alcohol distillers were found improperly disposing of wastes in the wetland.
