I made a test of signal stability with the Taranis radio (X9D).:
A D8R-II plus receiver module (FrSky) is binded to the Taranis transmitter (configured to use the internal transmitter in D8 mode).
I then display the RSSI page on the taranis to monitor the radio signal strength (to show the bar displaying the radio signal between 0 and 100).
Strangely I noticed the signal is lost when approaching the receiver's antennas a few centimeters away from the Taranis radio's antenna ! (the telemetry screen shows signal loss and the voice system says "telemetry lost")
Then the signal is recovered when moving the receiver's antennas a bit further away.
Is this a normal or is this a new discovered problem with the Taranis radio ? (and or in combination with the D8R-II plus receiver) ?
