The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers has rejected the recent government directive through the teachers service commission, to employ more teachers countrywide.
The union's Secretary General Akello Misori said there is need for further consultations between the union and the teachers' employer to promote teachers who have stagnated in some job groups for more than 10 years. TSC has however maintained that promotions will only be done on merit.
