In this video I build a very simple boat that any new player can build in just a few minutes. I didn't include EMP protection or fragment protection because the video would have to be much longer but the ship is fast and cheap plus it has enough space for some good weapons.

This is usually how I build corvette style ships that go fast and have good support capabilities.
I didn't turtle the back of the ship which is stepping the lower back part of the ship to curve it back, I usually only do this on larger ships. But on this one I didn't do this for simplicity.

In From the Depths you can build and take first-person command of battleships, planes, submarines, space ships, hot air balloons and more! It has multiplayer, a dynamic campaign with Economy and diplomacy.
