A month after joining the ruling Janata Dal (United) in Bihar, poll strategist Prashant Kishor was on Tuesday appointed the national vice-president by party chief and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. The post of vice -president had been vacant since 2016, when Kumar became the party’s president, replacing Sharad Yadav. Party’s principal general secretary KC Tyagi confirmed Kishor’s appointment. Welcoming the move, JD (U) state spokesperson Sanjay Singh said that Kishor’s experience will help strengthen the party further.
