This is a 3D (as in glasses 3D) video flythrough of a LiDAR scan.
The subject is a small Weir captured with a Faro Focus Terrestrial Laser Scanner.
The below water information was captured with a Trimble R12i GNSS. This is a neat bit of hardware that gives CM accurate point data but has tilt compensation - which means you don't need to hold the pole vertical to get an accurate reading. In this case, it allowed us to probe the river bed.
There will be another video in non Stereo 3D uploaded soon.
This data was rendered with Epic's TwinMotion. This created the 3D effect.
You can view this video in 3D on a Meta Quest VR Headset. Or if you don't have a VR headset, YouTube will display it on a 2D screen in Anaglyph style 3D - you will need some red and cyan type glasses for that.
There are a few animated animals added for fun, because, that's what you end up doing when working with curious children looking over your shoulder :)
