New Delhi, March 09 (ANI): Education Minister Smriti Irani on Monday requested women scientists at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to interact with young aspiring girl students and motivate them in order to increase their participation in technical field. Irani was addressing a workshop on "Women Innovators for Excellence in Research and Science" winners 2015 at DRDO headquarters in New Delhi. The two-day workshop was organised on the occasion of International Women's Day that is observed across the world on March 08. The minister added the greatest concern is the falling number of women in the field of research and science and technical education. DRDO itself has only 20 percent of women in its research field.
