“Becoming a Çatalhöyük Person: An Integration of the Evidence”

Abstract
This talk will emphasise that becoming a person at Çatalhöyük was a gradual process from before birth until well after death, marked by a long series of cultural and social practices, and varying by gender. The talk will also explore the way in which personhood was porous and transient in relation to the animal world.
