I spent two days in Velikiy Novgorod with some of my Russian friends. I have footage near the monastery, near the village museum, and near the old church. There's lots of mixing of the video footage, but it was such a fun trip that it kind of had to be a fun video.

Additional note: I did some research and saw that it is NOT illegal to visit/walk on a UNESCO World Heritage site; it is meant to protect these sites from becoming focal points of aggression during war.

Additional note two: I say that the old church is probably one of the oldest things I've ever been that close to, but apparently I was having a brain failure moment because I've also been to structures from ancient Rome and ancient Greece, both of which have buildings that are more than twice as old as the buildings we saw in Velikiy Novgorod.
