Indian marine commandos carried out military drills onboard INS Tarkash. The drills were carried out in the Gulf of Oman under operation Sankalp to ensure safe passage of India's merchant vessels transiting through the region. Indian Navy had commenced Maritime Security Operations, Operation Sankalp in 2019 due to the deteriorating security situation in the Gulf region.
