Mark Steeds from Bristol Radical History Group is author of Cry Freedom, Cry Seven Stars about Bristol abolitionists. The Seven Stars in St Thomas Lane, Bristol where Thomas Clarkson who led the campaign 'the moral steam engine' to get the slave trade abolish. Landlord Thompson helped Clarkson gather information on the slave trade which gave him information for his campaign pamphlets. Also Hannah Moore and proposals for a Welsh Back Bristol Slavery History Hub planned for the last two dockside buildings there. Saxon slave trade run by the Dublin based Vikings which St. Wulfston helped abolish. And chain-free slavery too, exploitation of child labour as well as today's economic slavery.
