I had unplugged and flipped this toaster upside down to rescue a very thin english muffin from the cavernous dungeons below. As a result, my toaster stopped heating at all. So instead of chucking it in the big bin, I decided to take it apart and see what I could do to fix it.
I discovered the outer shroud screws behind the rubber feet on the bottom only after I had loosened the tin twists that release the inner skeletal framework from the base. Once a part it was only a matter of carefully cleaning the debris from the electrical contacts with an office compressed air can and putting it back together to get 'er up and runnin' again.
Cheers, hope this helps.
