The role of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights is to assist and advise the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in supervising the measures taken by the Respondent States to execute the final judgments of the ECHR. When requested, the Department assists the States in their implementation efforts.
