SCAM: The Duomo in Milan is considered their grandest church, but it's treated as a money-making venture. They purposely “ran out” of the 2-euro tickets for just the Duomo, but if you want to visit the Duomo and its Terrace, you have to pay 16 euros instead. Keep in mind that the terrace is merely a part of the church, separated to charge an additional fee because it wouldn't be appropriate to charge too much for visiting a church, right? Sadly, some churches in Europe have turned into mere attractions, losing their spiritual essence. They no longer provide a tranquil space for prayer, regardless of one's religious affiliation or beliefs.
