A giant panda female cub, born in October at the Bejing zoo, has survived the most vulnerable period of her new life. The as-yet unnamed cub is one of six pandas born in captivity this year, but the only one to survive for more than a month. It's the third cub Mother Lele has given birth to since 1994, but the only one to survive.
