This step by step video shows the making of a pair of steak knives. They're maybe a bit on the big side for steak knives, maybe more kitchen utility knives.
I wanted to see if I could make 2 smaller knives by hand that matched. I used thinner 2mm steel for these knives to make them lighter, sharper and easier to work. The wood is American black walnut I bought on the internet.
All the steps can be easily done with no power tools whatsoever, though I do use a cheap drill press in the video to make my drilled holes more accurate.
