Learn how to play Just Got Paid on guitar as performed by ZZ Top. RIP Dusty Hill (1949 - 2021) - thank you for all you did while here on this spinning rock.

This lesson focuses on the main riff and the rhythm guitar parts, which frankly are I think more interesting than the slide leads. First things first - tuning is Open E7 which is E, B, E, G#, B, D. The rhythm guitar plays all it's parts in this tuning. The slide lead guitar is tuned to normal Open E and was recorded as an overdub separately from the rhythm guitar. Billy Gibbons plays this tuned to Open E when they play it live, with a slide on his middle finger to be able to do both parts.
