Logging and hunting have reduced the tiger's natural prey, forcing them to attack livestock and dogs from nearby villages. Further east, the Kamchatka peninsula is shaped by a chain of active volcanoes, fumeroles and geysers, altering the climate and behaviour of its wildlife.
