This is a documentary about surfing the Pororoca tidal bore wave in the Amazon. I was contracted to work on this by Sobie TV under Brian Sobie. I directed, shot and edited this production. The surfers involved were Peter Mel, Raphael Bruhwiler and Picuruta Salazar. At the time, this was the longest wave ever surfed and was claimed by Picuruta. Although It is still longer than the longest wave claimed by Guiness they weren't invited on that trip so it didn't make it. Good luck next try Picuruta!!
