Riveted D ring attachment demonstrated on simple zipper pouch. This method of installation goes through the opening in the lining and works on many if not all turned styles of pouch and crossbodies.

If using a thinner exterior fabric I recommend using a scrap of supporting fabric behind the interior rivet cap to reduce the likelihood of it pulling through with excess weight, such as on soft vinyl.
