Hari Om!
Swami Aparajitananda discusses the second fantastic question by Arjuna to Lord very clearly and artistically. Here the cases of - 1) Seeker with faith and effort who has not attained Perfection (Yoga-samsiddhi) in this birth and 2) where deviation by temptation (fall and delusion) occurs are discussed.
Swamiji discusses position of Jñānī and ajñānī and of grihasthāshramī and Sannyāsī in this context. The loving authority of Arjuna to demand clarification on the question perfectly, is discussed beautifully. "Tāta" is explained. The answer by Lord is discussed with respect to Chapter 4 where Lord reveals Himself as Karmaphala-dātā. "Kalyānakrita" is explained. The law that you get what you deserve is cited.
Verses 41 & 42: How Lord blesses such yoga-bhrashta afterwards (going to higher worlds for longer times) is clarified. Concept of rebirth is discussed. Message is: Nothing is lost; the journey continues.
Verses 43 to 45: Concept of rebirth is supported by Shruti, yukti and anubhūti. Cases of seekers entering with curiosity and then becoming best seekers are discussed. Inferior seeker is explained.
Kathopanishad answers the question "Who gets God?" by stating "Who chooses God."
A hopeful statement comes, viz. all are potential saints and this may become the last birth.
Verses 46 & 47: That Yogī is greater than tapasvī and the types of karmīs are explained beautifully. "But among Yogīs, the one who meditates upon Me as I am is the best", says Krishna. Yuktatama is simplified with respect to Saguna-sākāra, Saguna-nirākāra and meditation upon Consciousness.
Ramana Maharshi's "Īsha-darshanam" and "Ātma-svarūpa" are explained.
Lastly, the most melodious rendition of Ātmashatakam that summarises all chapters is given by Swamiji.
