Let us visit the spot where the first Christian Filipinos, Rajah Humabon and Queen Juana, and about 400 followers were baptized.
The Magellan's Cross Pavilion is a stone structure in Cebu City, Philippines. The structure is located in Plaza Sugbo, next to the Basilica del Santo Niño. It houses a Christian cross that is thought to have been planted by explorers from the Spanish expedition of the first circumnavigation of the world, led by Ferdinand Magellan, upon their arrival in Cebu, Philippines, on April 21, 1521.
The pavilion, along with the Basilica del Santo Niño's church and convent buildings, has been designated as a Philippine National Cultural Treasure.
