By 2025, as much as two-thirds of the world’s population will be suffering from a lack of fresh water. As populations grow, and countries around the world experience additional water shortages due to the effects of climate change, management of water resources will be a global imperative and a potential flashpoint. What strategies are industries deploying to minimise water usage and loss? As many historical water sharing agreements were based on significantly less usage and significantly more flow, how are industries adjusting to new legal realities? Will water recycling and wastewater recycling become game changers?
