Glendale Vice Mayor Ian Hugh of the Cactus District takes us to the Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center in his new edition of the TV show “Glendale Today”.
Vice Mayor Hugh talks with Glendale Police Lieutenant Earl Montgomery, an 18 year veteran with the force, on how the facility is used to train public safety officers for the real life situations they encounter on a daily basis.
Vice Mayor Hugh gets a first-hand look at the many features of the facility, including the driver training track, the shooting range, Taser reaction training, and the interactive use of force and tactical judgment simulator. Viewers get a rare glimpse inside the state of the art, 56 acre facility that hosts an annual average of 50,000 students and visitors and provided more than 23,000 hours of police officer and fire fighter training last year.
