I watched a video recently by Volksplane1 where he had some good slow running with his live steam 16 mm to the foot Mamod Saddle tank engine. That locomotive’s mechanism is the same as the mechanism in my Mark 3 and his is in 32 mm gauge like mine.
He suggested in his description not putting the reversing unit all the way in one direction. His video is here: [ Ссылка ]
In this video I am using my O gauge toy train loop because my Garden Planter Railway is being revamped. I share this small indoor loop with my Lionel, K-Line and MTH toy trains (or ‘coarse scale’ in the UK). In recent videos I show how I am converting these to onboard battery power to dispense with the need for the third middle rail.
My large scale Accucraft and Mamod locos run just fine on this track and when I do run them I place my Cobi of Poland’s brick Great War models. These WWI tanks look great with my non-fine-scale Mamod that I have painted for the British War Department. (I also made a number of other visual modifications to this engine.) Cobi bricks are compatible with Lego and are of excellent quality.
Happy Steaming!
Terry
