(8 Oct 2016) The Kyrgyz opposition on Saturday held a rally in Bishkek to protest against a proposed referendum to vote on amendments to the constitution.
Around 200 people, including Jogorku Kanesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) lawmakers, former members of the interim government, opposition leaders and young activists gathered inside one of the Bishkek theatres.
The organisers said that some participants were removed after insulting speakers and organisers.
