The White House has confirmed that U.S. military forces in northwest Syria have killed the leader of ISIS Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi. President Joe Biden says their forces undertook a successful counterterrorism operation to protect the American people and Allies in order to make the world a safer place. President Biden said a major terrorist, who oversaw the spread of ISIS affiliated groups around the world, including in Africa, had been removed.
