Kato Zakros is a pretty seaside town in Eastern Crete, with a lovely gorge, a cliffside cave with stalactites and stalagmites and a Minoan ruin. There's heaps to do here including swimming and snorkelling, walking or exploring the Minoan palace originally built in 1900 BC. Or just relax on the beach, eat delicious local food and enjoy the beauty of the place.
