Israeli conductor Dalia Atlas offers a fine performance (on the Carrière Classics label) of her own arrangement of Schubert's glorious, late String Quintet, D. 956. If you love this iconic masterpiece you will want to hear this, particularly as it supplies the tonal heft that parts of the work seem to demand, and which the standard ensembles struggle to supply.
