Ukraine has made a desperate plea to Australia in yet another bid to secure more weapons against the invading Russian forces. Ukraine's ambassador to Australia will lobby Canberra for a fleet of 30 newly-built light-armoured military vehicles to Ukraine. The patrol vehicles, dubbed Hawkeis, were approved for use by the Australian defence force in July 2021. However, these vehicles are yet to be tested on a real-life battlefield.
