Members of parliament have disagreed on the proposal to withdraw army representatives from parliament as proposed by Ndorwa East MP Wilfred Niwagaba in his Constitutional Amendment Bill 2020.
Whereas the Majority report of the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee rejected this proposal on grounds that it did not follow proper procedures, those against having the army in parliament claim they have no role in a multi-party dispensation.
