Hermana Crandall & Sister Tshimanga explain "Decoupling" & demonstrate how to disassociate the terms of our personal friendship with acceptance of an invitation to learn about the Church -- as described by Clayton Christensen in his book The Power of Everyday Missionaries, page 27.
When we make it clear to the people we care about and want to share the Gospel with that rejecting an invitation to learn more is not the same as rejecting our friendship, it removes some of the pressure (& our own anxiety) from the process.
In fact, it often strengthens friendships, even when the people we invite are not interested in discussing our spiritual beliefs.
