It’s expensive to be a competitor in aerobatics championships. Not only are there all the training flights and lower level competition events to take part in and maintenance of the aircraft, but travel to the major events is costly. To support the effort and help offset some of the training costs, the organisation British Aerobatics is running a series of spectacular prize draws, like a flight in a Spitfire. The latest is a flight in an L-39 Albatros jet "operated by the famous MiGFlug team" (Flyer Magazine). The 30-minute flight, tailored to the winner’s preferences, will be in either France or Germany.
Tickets cost £20 each, and are available here: www.aerobatics.org.uk/lottery.
