The Public Service Prize at the Press Gazette British Journalism Awards 2024 for the journalist who has done the most to raise the reputation of the trade was given posthumously to the Telegraph's David Knowles. The award was presented in association with the Journalists' Charity. The award was accepted on David's behalf by Francis Dearnley at the Hilton Bankside hotel in London on 12 December.
