In this video, the DIY shutter kit has been pre-assembled so it's ready to install, there are guides on building the frames on the website.
How to install DIY window shutters:
The whole interior shutter frame is lifted into the window recess and wedged into place. You can then stand back and check you have an equal clearance gap between the shutter frame and recess.
You can adjust the frame left/right and up/down using the fitting wedges. Once you are happy the shutters are lined up and look straight, you can secure it to the window or battens using the screws provided.
Holes are pre-drilled in the surrounding frame and there is a removable insert strip that covers all the fixing holes. Once the frame has been screwed into position there are some final hinge screws to be fitted then the insert strip that covers all the screw heads needs to be pushed back into the insert.
