As the college admissions landscape continues to evolve in 2024, it’s crucial for high school students & parents to stay informed with the latest policy updates.
⚠️Earlier this month, Yale University became the 2nd Ivy League school (along with Dartmouth) to move away from the test-optional policy, announcing that they will require the SAT/ACT for the Class of 2029 cycle.
This means that current high school juniors & younger will need to take the SAT/ACT if they want to be considered for admissions.
With 2 prominent universities reinstating the SAT/ACT requirements, many students & parents assumed other universities would follow suit.
⚠️However, just 5 days later, the University of Michigan publicly announced that they would officially adopt a test-optional policy for undergraduate admissions effective immediately.
