The Easternmost fronts of India located in the State of Arunachal Pradesh can be accessed from Dibrugarh airport and Tinsukia Rail Junction in Assam. These places are at Namsai, Tezu, Parashuram Kund, Wakro, Walong, Dong Village and Kibithu. From another part you can access Roing, Mayodia, Hunli and Anini via Sadiya town in Assam crossing India's longest Bridge of the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Setu from Dhola to Sadiya.
These eastern parts of Arunachal Pradesh are located at the International Border of India and China and the Battle of Walong was a part of the Indo China war in 1962. Kibithu is the last known township in Eastern India and Dong Village near Walong receives the first rays of the Sun in India thereby naming Arunachal Pradesh as 'India's Land of the Rising Sun!'
The Mishmi Hills around these areas remain covered with snow across the year and tourists come here to witness the snowfall along with it the rich culture of the Mishmi and Adi people who inhabit these areas of Arunachal Pradesh. The Golden Pagoda temple at Choukham is a very beautiful Monastery and it speaks of architectural brilliance. The holy land of Parashuram Kund is a primary pilgrimage area in these parts.
