Ingredients
Raw jack fruit – 2 cups
Rice flour – ½ kg
Jaggery – 250 grm
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Cardamom – 4 pods
Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Sugar – 4 tbsp
Hot water – 1 cup
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Method
First we peel and cut the ripe jackfruit then chopped into small pieces.
Then we have to grated the jaggery with knife and set aside.
Then we have to crush cardamom and cumin seed into powder ,and set a side.
Again we crush the sugar granules into fine powder .
Take a bowl add rice flour and then we add little by little amount of water and mix well until it
combines ,set aside
Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan add jaggery and saute well
Ones the jaggery is melted ,again we add chopped jackfruit , sugar,and grated coconut and combine
well
Then add crushed cardamom and cumin seed mix well and remove from fire and set aside.
Then we take a idili steamer and add 2 cups of water and stem well
Take banana leaf and spread the rice flour dough evenly .now spread jackfruit and jaggary mix and
fold the banana leaf ,repeat the process with remaining dough.
Then arrange the adas in the steamer plate and cover and steam for 15 to 20 minutes
Ones the ada is well cooked remove from fire and set a side.
Serve the delicious kerala snack jackfruit ada as hot and enjoy the sweet traditional taste
