Guerrilla Style filmmaking is a type of filmmaking that “films first, asks questions later.” The idea of this Run-N-Gun method is to get in and get out as fast as possible without getting caught by the authorities or property owners. But could this type of filmmaking hurt your final product and overall film production? Can you really create your best work when you are constantly looking over your shoulder? In this video we discuss this topic as I share why I think you should stop shooting your films ‘Guerrilla Style.’
It’s worth mentioning that I am referring to narrative filmmaking. Projects that involve actors exchanging dialogue within a scene. And crew members such as cinematographers, make up artist, and sound technicians that would be present on location. If your project doesn’t evolve this, then ‘Run-N-Gun’ all you want. Just make sure that you know the law when it comes to pulling out that camera. 🎥
