Things Even I Can Do: Episode 26
Is your 2006 Toyota Camry key fob not working? We address two of the major causes. First, I cover replacing the battery in your keyless entry fob. If that doesn't fix your issue, you may have a bad receiver. The second half of the video explains how to locate, remove and replace the receiver module. In the video, we replace the module with a used part found on eBay, but Toyota also sells one in new condition. The price difference is about $1000 though. The single screw that holds the receiver into place is a 10mm. I've got a link below for a wrench set for that.
After switching out the receiver, you will need to pair the key fob with the new receiver. I'll walk you through the steps to put your car into "pairing mode" and get your key working again!
