Aquarium growth rates of firemouth cichlids differ. I feed my firemouth cichlids Omega One brand Food.
Do firemouth cichlids grow really slow? What's their growth rate and how large do they get in size? Well I know they do better in bigger groups, but I was leaning towards keeping 3-4 of them and being the MAIN fish in my tank aside from my sword tails. Definitely don’t plan on over stocking my 55 gallon.
I'd love to own them as well. But I'm sticking with my 36 bow now. I traded this setup for my 90 gallon setup. I have so many animals I needed to downsize. That's what I mainly have. And I'm catching up with birds too lol. I have a small zoo at home so it gets overwhelming.
This is my 20 gallon and the fish that would be acclimated into the new tank eventually. My sword tails would be the largest fish besides the clown loaches. Only plan on adding a few more tiger barbs.
Hi all! I need some advice. For my son’s birthday we got him 2 male guppies and a bushy nose pleco. We have a small 4.5 gallon tank. After about 15 days, one of our guppies died. We are pretty sure it was because the other guppy is kind of a jerk. (He picked on and chased the now dead guppy endlessly) I am thinking I need a bigger tank if I want to house any other guppies with this jerk so they have more room. I found an established 20 gallon tank on Craigslist but, the current owner has 4 fish in it already (that we would have to take on as well) the owner isn’t sure what kind of fish they are. He sent me pictures and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if these fish will be ok with my guppy and pleco (and maybe a couple more guppies later on).
I'm not sure what they could be ... but if they're larger than a guppy then I wouldn't risk adding them together. The big one on the right is some kind of rainbowfish, the other looks like some kind of barb, which are usually pretty nippy from what I've heard.
Can anyone help me figure out what these poor little deformed fish are? I am talking about the pink one and the blue one. They are pretty terribly deformed (crooked tails, bent backs etc..) they have stripes like zebra danios but they also have teeny tiny WHISKERS. And they glow so I'm assuming they're some sort of knockoff glofish or maybe glofish who were inbred and crossbred w a catfish species or even koi somehow??????? I got them from my friends little cousin and she doesn't remember what they were sold to her as (neither do her grandparents or parents).
