Automated Speed Enforcement, an automated system that uses a camera and a speed measurement device to enforce speed limits, is now in Ontario.
Visual: Photo radar signs.
Signs like this are your cue that ASE is in place to enforce the posted speed limit.
Visual: A school crossing and community zone sign.
Cameras will be set up in school zones and community safety zones near you.

If a vehicle exceeds the speed limit in those zones, the registered plate owner will receive a ticket in the mail.

Speeding is a factor in one third of fatal collisions across Canada and speed limits are not guidelines – they are the law.
