Porsche isn't new to electric cars. More than 120 years ago, Ferdinand Porsche designed the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton. That thing was powered by a whopping four-horsepower electric motor, and had a scintillating top speed of just 25 km/h. Fast forward to 2020, and Porsche says it's ready for the future of the automobile with the all-new Taycan Turbo S, regardless of whether it's a luxury sedan or a corner-carving speedster. The question is simple — is it possible for a heavy, luxurious, all-electric sedan to attain the levels of performance (and handling) you'd expect in a Porsche? Yes.
