In July 2009 a freshly painted "X class" locomotive (X54) was scheduled to depart Melbourne as part of the motive power on a Sydney bound QRNational (QRN) container freight train.
Unfortunately I arrived just as the train with three nice and clean locomotives came into view - no time to set up the tripod, check the focus or change any other camera settings. Using a fencepost as a makeshift tripod I just managed to start filming as the train came into shot., and managed to balance the camera quite well most of the time to allow a good view of all the different shipping containers and their interesting liveries as they passed by. .
