Flying Car Showcased at Technology Convention in Dubai
An electric “flying car” was showcased at GITEX Global 2022, the world’s largest technology convention, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on October 10.
Suleman Ejaz recorded this footage and originally posted it to TikTok. The Chinese technology company XPENG AEROHT designed and tested the aircraft, called the XPENG X2.
According to a statement on the company’s website, the “XPENG X2 is a two-seater flying car. It does not produce any carbon dioxide emissions during flight … It will be suitable for future low-altitude city flights and is perfect for short-distance city journeys such as sightseeing and medical transportation.”
The company said its sixth-generation craft, still in development, has wheels and will be able to travel in the air as well as on roads.
