This strange but true story comes out of one of the Central American countries Honduras. A bridge was built that ended up as pretty useless because the river doesn’t actually run beneath it. But not long after building was complete a deadly storm hit Central America. Hurricane Mitch, which wiped out almost that entire region of Honduras, caused the river underneath the Choluteca Bridge to change its course.
