Yad Sarah, the largest national volunteer organization in Israel which provides an all-encompassing and fully integrated range of medical equipment and home-based healthcare support services free of charge, has been launching a huge campaign over the past week to bring to Israel a much needed medical equipment in excess of $ 10 million.
Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Israel, Yad Sarah has been working around the clock all over the world to locate and bring to Israel respirators and dedicated medical equipment. So far, the organization has obtained about 220 respirators, about 5,000 oxygen generators, 1,000 oxygen balloons, and about 8,000 inpatient beds and thousands of home hospital units, as well as some 20,000 insulation kits.
Aaron G. Frenkel, one of Yad Sarah’s biggest donors and the funder of Yad Sarah’s Frenkel Emergency Medical Center established in 2017 in Jerusalem: "This is an unprecedented emergency situation in the history of the world and the Jewish state, and I urge the people of Israel and my friends around the globe to join the efforts and save thousands of human lives by contributing to bringing respiratory equipment, so that no one will be left behind." Moreover, in addition to his initial 180,000 donation, Frenkel doubled any amount donated to the fundraising campaign.
