Erik Jansen was sentenced to life at the age of 17 when he was accused of helping his friend, Nathan Ybanez kill Nathan's own mother. Nathan, the one who committed the murder was granted he be eligible for parole in December of 2020.
After this court case it was than shown Erik would actually receive the same treatment and was released from prison in 2020.
