Stockpiling of aggregate will be allowed and permitted only where the engineer agreed. Each nominal size of aggregate has to be separated. The site shall be clear and clean of all vegetation and debris, graded and drained, and where the Engineer deems it necessary, the area shall be surfaced with a 100mm layer of approved stone or rock.
Aggregate for bituminous surface treatment shall consist of clean, dry, hard durable crushed stone or crushed gravel free from dust, clay, dirt and another deleterious mater. Aggregates shall meet the quality requirement of AASTHO M80 Except as altered herein.
