A number of women in a protest in Takhar province, demanded women's access to education, work and their freedoms in the society.

They chanted the slogans "bread, work, freedom", "education is our right" and "don't deprive women of their freedom".

In the past two years, women in different parts of the country have launched protest movements and protested against the lack of access of women and girls to their right to education and work and other rights in the society.
